Outcome
Irth was acquired by private-equity giant Blackstone after a successful product redesign and expansion partnership with us. The Irth team found our ability to help them expand into new markets and products critical to the growth that facilitated this exit.
Insight
The Irth Solutions team wanted to revamp the UX for their mobile, tablet, and web solutions. Their enterprise SaaS product, UtiliSphere, was used by members of large industrial organizations. Through customer-persona development, the team had recognized a lack of efficiency and easy organization that needed to be addressed in the platform. A key requirement: visualize future concepts like AI within the user experience.
Idea
Through looking at the customer personas, we created a better view of the customer journey. Using collaborative design tools that allowed iteration and feedback, we let both teams think outside the box and find new functionality that could be implemented into the product. Leadership often met on-site at Irth Solutions' Columbus, Ohio offices to present new solutions or discuss strategy.

Impact
With creative solutions, self-reliant development, in-person meetings, and everything in between, UtiliSphere introduced a completely new way for users to work. Through success in balancing existing platform structure with a completely redesigned UX, existing customers reached out to purchase the new products before they were fully in development. AI concepts realized as visual prototypes were key to Irth's future innovation strategy. We continue to engage with Irth Solutions for ongoing UX strategy and product development.
